Off-Center

                                                               Something is not quite right,

                                 although in this light it’s hard to tell,

                                        but I think what’s broken can’t be fixed

                             and it might be time to sell.

                                                                      –

                          I’d hoped that it wasn’t true

                                   and that this problem could be solved,

                                                                                 but the whole thing is off-center

                                      and from there the problem evolved.
