A jumbled mess it may have been
but I approve all grooming
right down to where and when.
Just try that move once more
and then you best prepare
for what you’ll have in store.

I’ve settled in
and I’ve settled down,

I still wear this frown.
I’ve come to terms
with this new home
but I wish still,
you lost that comb.
I won’t sit still
and I won’t let you win

I groom and I groom
but will I ever be clean?
How can this job be finished
since I must look like a queen?
Being a feline is not easy
since the work is never done.
But I’ll look good doing it
even if the work is no fun.
